Arlo pro base station keeps going offline. The center orange light comes on and requires switching off to re sync which is not helpful when we are away from home....

That would seem to be a problem with your router, modem and/or ISP. An amber Internet LED implies connection with the router but not to the Internet. You can try turning off the modem, router and base and then turn them back on in that order, waiting for each to initialize before doing the next. Contact the ISP to report a possible service issue.
