I want to setup my security cameras without the Internet connection. Can I go this after I have an account and have synced and tested all the devices. I will use a small TV to see the videos and have my own recorder for saving them.
I do not need to use a portable device as that is not secure in todays environment.

Technically, you could set it up and then remove the internet connection. This would mean that the only place videos are being saved is the USB HDD or flash drive attached as a backup. You would, however, be required to remove the HDD from the base and plug it into a computer if you wanted to view any recordings. Not very practical. If when you say "I do not need to use a portable device as that is not secure in todays environment" you're referring to the USB HDD, then you're out of luck I'm afraid. If you're that worried about security, why wouldn't you want a wired system?

You can use a range extender to provide a remote ethernet port for the base station over wifi
