Arlo Pro Outdoor Plugged In

Arlo Pro Wire-free camera battery does not last 30 days if you often use LIVE (which serves the purpose) but it works outdoor RAIN or SNOW with battery use. But my Question is: Is it adviseable and safe to plug in the camera to electrical outlet all the time OUTDOOR when its camera port does not look SAFE and SEALED because the plug is not contained like how ADT outdoor cameras are constructed. By plugging it in all the time, you can use the Arlo Pro camera outdoor LIVE all the time to catch intruders in real time NOT RECORDED. It is useless to watch intrusion in recorded mode than real time action.

OR is there a REAL TIME ALERT to a smart phone during actual intrusion (not recorded clips)

Netgear have spoken about a power supply with a water proof USB connector that can be left plugged into the camera.

I don't know when it will be available.

Live view will time out after 30 minutes on battery or while plugged in. The Arlo Pro is not designed as an always on device.

Arlo Pro does have the alerts every time there is motion detected, this is a standard feature.

Agree. These are not designed to be always recording/live. The manual and promo material talk about recording/viewing 5 minutes a day total to yield around 4-6 months between charging

Also not sure about the timeframe for the release of the weatherproof cable
