We are new to security cameras and considering purchasing a 6 camera bundle as we have a large property. However I read that only 5 cameras are included on the free recordings. Does this mean I have to pay to use the 6th camera?

There seems to be some confusion about how the 6 camera bundle knows that you can use the 6th camera for free cloud recording. Try setting up the cameras first before mounting them and see if all 6 record. If not, read these posts and try to contact Customer Support. I believe the 6 camera deal is only available in the US and on a new account.

From what I am reading in these posts is that the Base Station has a special SKU that when the account is setup, it should automatically work.

The 6 camera bundle is a special bundle allowing you to use all 6 cameras with the free 7 day cloud recording. Yhere is a special code that comes with the set that you must enter to get this special pricing.

I ordered and received the Arlo Pro 2 6 camera package. I don’t see any special code anywhere. Where would I find that? Just to note - our install is going to be primarily outside, and only one outdoor mount was included. My bad for not checking in that first, I guess. So I need to order more outdoor mounts before I can proceed.

You'd have to contact support on that.. Not sure if the special code is for Arlo Pro 2.. I do remember it was for Arlo Pro and maybe promotional..

Thank you for all the input.  I set up the system, all cameras synched properly and all 6 cameras work on the plan without paying extra.  There was no special code, so it must have been the number on the base station that did the trick.  I am a new customer, so don't know if that made a difference or not.

You done good. 🙂 Yes, choosing the specific model when setting up the system is what makes this work.
