My Arlo Pro 5s is on 1,040.28.7_93_caa9491 how come it’s not updating? I really hope I haven’t got another dud this is cameras proved to be a bit of a pain to be honest because it’s not always recording when it’s meant to. I’m based in the UK if that helps with this firmware number

Firmware may roll out slowly to the various regions for various reasons. The UK is among those that are covered by a contract with Verisure so updates are regulated by them, as well as Arlo. You can try rebooting the camera or reinserting the battery but if those don't help it's likely that Verisure has them on hold for some reason.
