Does the Pro Smarthub work with Pro4 cameras? It doesn't list them specifically but I would assume that it does with the listed "Arlo cameras" as one of the supported options.

Not sure which base you are refering to. The only two smarthubs are the VMB4540 and the VMB5000. All the others are base stations (sometimes called hubs). You can see exactly what base/smarthub you have by looking for a label that starts with VMB.
"Arlo Wire-Free Camera" in @Dannybear's link means the original Arlo camera (which uses 4 CR123 batteries).
All VMB4xxx bases and the VMB5000 support the Pro 4. VMB3xxx bases do not. The two smarthubs are needed for the direct access to local storage.
