I have been trying for hours to get a camera to sync. Arlo support sucks. The QR code on the camera responds with “your search did not match any items” WTH good is a QR code. Have tried every possible option in the “add new device” process and never connects to my base unit. Do not by Arlo.

What model is the camera?
Is this the first installation, or are you trying to reconnect it?

May I ask which troubleshooting steps you have tried so far? I don't want to suggest anything you have previously performed.
