Howdy - first off, wow does my system work better since I upgraded to a subscription! Until about a week ago - the Arlo Pro 4 Wireless Security Cameras stopped charging with my AC adapter. The adapter is Model AD2037320 and Type B51-1LF (I think - tiny print). When I plug them in, the blue light no longer flashes. Sometimes a yellow one blinks on, but then it stops. This is true for all 5 of my cameras, which I bought over a couple of years, so the batteries are at different stages of life. Any advice would be welcomed.

Also I'm running 4.10.6.

Do you have another USB charger you can test with?

I am under the impression that the adapter plug, being a different size than the normal (Apple, for instance) adapter plugs, is proprietary, and I'd need another one from Arlo to test it out. Is that what you mean? I just looked on the website and don't see that you can just order the magnetic strip and plug. Happy to do so if that helps.

Any USB charger can be used. I'm not sure what you mean about the size difference but the connector for the cable that plugs into the charger is the same as any other - try it. You just need a 5V, 2A charger.

The only proprietary part of the cable is the magnetic connector that attaches to the camera.

Ok, cool - I plugged the magnetic charging connector into a different adapter (the kind I got with my iPhone) and the cameras also didn't charge with that one either. Do the magnetic connectors sometimes fail? Is there a way to get a new one?

They can, though I don't think that happens often.

Arlo doesn't sell them separately.  You can buy a second charger, which would include the cable.

Or alternatively buy the standalone battery charger

Then you can charge the battery by itself (removing it from the the camera).

You will find third-party cables (and chargers) if you search, though Arlo doesn't recommend them.

Ahah! Okay, I have purchased a new battery charger dock thing, and will see what happens. Thank you so much for your help. I'll report back.

I now have an answer! I looked through my utility drawers and found a second magnetic strip charger - it works. So the strips do fail sometimes. Glad to know this!
