I liked how my cameras were set up on my feed. My saved videos were all in thumbnails in neat little rows and columns on my devices.
one day I log in and it says it has new features for me. I click on that button and now I have BS about arming while I’m away and widgets on my home page. My devices tab have the live feed options only and My feed has each camera notification stacked and using an entire line all by itself listing whether it’s armed or not. Once I click on an event I can no longer just hit the back button and go back but have to exit the entire app and come back before I can another. I really HATE this new interface. It’s clumsy, not user-friendly, and I just want to go back to the way it was. Can anyone help me/

Has anyone else updated to the new app, in the last few days, and does anyone else hate it as much as me?

If you’re referring to the arlo new UI interface, then I can’t say anyone has posted that they enjoy the new experience.

I've seen one or two, but not very many. Not sure that is a good analytic, since most people posting in every compay forum have an issue/problem they want help with.
Personally I think it does depend on how you use your cameras and how many locations they are in. I think there are a lot of folks who don't use geofencing or scheduling, they just keep their cameras armed. They are likely happy with it. Folks who end up losing features they had before migration understandably will be angry/frustrated.

Well functionality simply got taken away. There is simply no excuse in the world to take custom modes away and the "AI Feature" should still be left in alpha testing. And we don't even wanna start with the Geofencing debacle,

I agree. It was a clear miss by Arlo.

Not sure on that one. I haven't gotten around to playing with person recognition, vehicle recognition, or custom detection yet. Generally with AI, the results depend on the training set - and that is particularly true here where the training is done by each customer. Validating the design likely does require broader deployment than you can get in alpha or closed betas.

Right now it doesn't even know what a car looks like or an animal and just says "Motion". And it doesn't record cars that drive past either.

These cameras are designed to record people within ~25 feet. The fact that sometimes/many times cars are recorded past the distance is outside the design specs and is likely due to a strong IR signature or even reflections of the sun's IR. The object is to position the cameras to monitor people around your house, not the whole neighborhood.

Just like everyone else, I bought the cameras based based on the system capability.
The update request screen made NO mention of the capabilities and features that would be lost if you upgrade.
For me, losing individual camera level scheduling made them worthless. I'm sure there are MANY other people that bought them for other capabilities and features that disappeared with no warning as well.
Are there any lawyers out there that need a lead plaintiff for class action lawsuit?
