Can I bypass base station and connect to phone?

adding my Arlo pro 3, but it detects base station and does not allow me to connect to my phone as it did with pro 4..

FWIW, you connected the Pro 4 to your home wifi network, not your phone.

The Pro 3 doesn't have that feature, it can only connect through a base/smarthub.
