Arlo Total Security Mount on ceiling?

I’ve ordered Arlo Pro 3 cameras and VMA5100 Total Security Mounts for fitting (which haven’t arrived yet). I’m using the time waiting on delivery to consider where best to place the cameras. I think the front door camera would fit best on the underside of a canopy which is over my front door.

Can the Total Security Mount be fitted on a ceiling? The pictures I’ve seen of the mount installed are all on walls and the instructions are silent on this.

Grateful for any tips/advice.

It can be mounted on the ceiling using the same technique as for walls. The mount may not give you enough range of motion to aim the camera where you want it so test first. Note that there's a specific ceiling mount listed in the accessories for the Pro 3, too.
