Is it possible to manually record 2k video with the Arlo Pro 3. I currently have 2k streaming off so recording is available. After manually recording a video and downloading it the resolution is only at 1920x1072 (HD) and not at 2560x1440. I really don't see the point of having a 2k camera that doesn't record in 2k.

This may be moved to the Pro 3 sub forum but I have 2k off also so I can manually record and it was discussed in another post about others asking this and a Moderator said it not possible. I ask why this is and had no response. Edit: I now see it has been moved.

namehere,
Triggered motion detection events can be saved up to 2K resolution. When live streaming, manual recordings are limited to 1080p.

Yes but why is that? I don't have the option to manually record when 2K is on. That is what other have posted in past. same on phone and web.

dcfox1,
This is a limitation. When 2K live streaming is enabled, manual recording is not possible. This is noted in the user manual on page 22: https://www.arlo.com/en-us/images/documents/arlopro3/Arlo_Pro3_UM.pdf

Thanks for for responding JamesC. I was aware it was a limitiation but was inquiring as to why it is limited such as a sever thing or hardware by design.
