Tried the recommended way suggested to charge. Clean points. Remove battery. Connect power without battery. Works fine. Changed battery from other camera. Worked fine. Put original battery back in camera. Doesn't work. Used app to verify charging. The battery camera (1) has not been used for approx 18 months. Other info suggests possible battery failure? Is there anyway of other possible charging solutions? Can you get a replacement battery? Please advise

I don't think your troubleshooting so far rules out the charging circuitry in the camera.

 

Try putting the suspect battery in the other camera, and see it charges there.

Replaced battery from another camera. No problem. Charging fine with other battery. Placed original back in and nothing. Not charging at all. Camera therefore is fine. Battery is not charging. Got more solutions. Can operate camera with wall charger on is the only way I can use the camera. I placed suspect battery in another camera,. Not charging. So what's the problem guru's? Let me know your solution please

Not sure why you are asking for more advice, since it is clear that you need to purchase a new battery.
