I'm about ready to toss this system in the trash. Come on Arlo! You NEED to fix this! Or at least take this product off the market. This has been going on since inception. And if I hear one more tech or representative say 'Our engineering dept is working on a fix" I'm going to explode!
This is beyond unacceptable. This is a HUGE part of this product and it DOES NOT WORK!

Apparently there were updates made on 6/22 and the 24th.   I test right after the update on the 22nd and it still didnt work.  I just tested the update on the 24th today and it is now working.....  I'll keep an eye on things but so far so good.... looks stable.

Not mine.....I'm still getting a ridiculous amount of hits on one of my camera's, so much so, I let the battery go dead. I'm so sick of this crap.  I really want my money back from Arlo.  This has been nothing short of infuriating.

 

This a a shot of the number of hits in a 4 hour period.......c'mon now Arlo!!!  DO SOMETHING!!!

Here ya go!  If my Activity Zones were any smaller I wouldn't be able to see a squirrel go by.  This is absolutely ridiculous.

Done every single one of the "Trouble Shooting" items noted.....EVERY SINGLE ONE.

 

For $600 I shouldn't have to Troubleshoot anything!

 

I want a REFUND!!!

I hear  you...   I am still not happy with the support.  I finally resorted to reaching out to Arlo on FB;  https://www.facebook.com/arlosmarthome/ and they actually got customer services to contact me.   Still a slog but at least I got to talk to someone.  I also reached out the CEO on linkedin.  He never responded but someone did say he responded to a tweet. Shouldnt have to got to those lengths to get support but its worth a try.

I spoke too soon.  They did fix the ability for me to set an activity zone. I used to get the error that I needed to plug my cameras in. That is gone.  I have set activity zones but the system is not honoring the zones and picking up motion outside the zone.   Its been months -- I dont understand why they cannot fix it.

That's a shame..
With my Arlo smart turned off my zones work perfectly.
Try setting a small square in the middle and walk round it, a can walk round and round and nothing gets picked up.
I know there are still issues obviously but worth a go with smart turned off, I only have issues with it on

I don't use Arlo Smart.......and my Activity Zone boxes can't get any smaller. 

 

Again, this is NOT be how this system should work.  We should not have to jump through hoops, and  trouble shooting pages to "MAKE" our activity zones work.  A recall needs to be made on this product NOW.
