I have had to start from the beginning and chat with five different people who just copy paste regular directions that are online. I have a brand new floodlight. The 30 day trial is over. Two things happened. Number one I lost my videos which I understand you need a subscription.  But the second thing that happened is the light no longer goes on with motion. I have disconnected the battery and put it back several times. I have disconnected the power to the base and reconnected several times. I have removed the device and added it back several times. I have put in a custom mode for lighting. I have verified that all my settings are correct. They were never changed in the first place. Does anyone have any idea how to get this motion light working again before I completely give up on Arlo & buy a product that performs & provides competent service?

As you likely already know, just getting the subscription would solve the problem.

If your floodlight is connected through an Arlo base, you could also just add local storage.

I'm assuming both of those options are off the table.

Can you post screen shots of these settings?

Some other users have reported issues with them, but they are a bit different from your situation.  In their case, the light is coming on, but not coming on for very long (only a few seconds).

If you were using the default settings with the trial, then the settings would have to be changed in order for the feature to work.

Assuming the idea is to just have the floodlight come on without recording, there have been a few other threads where this strategy stopped working. The workaround is to also use recording while the issue is resolved. Doesn't seem to be widespread but then I don't know how many folks use this.

As I mentioned above, their symptoms are a bit different - in most cases the lights are coming on for a few seconds, but not as long as desired.

So I am thinking there might also be a configuration issue with @Beechy's system (on top of the errors the other folks are seeing).
