why does my Arlo solar charger immediately cause the floodlight camera to factory reset the minute I connect it.
Camera is fully charged, up to date firmware wise and in every other way works fine. It did work on the solar charger for about 4 weeks while the weather was good but factory reset itself last Thursday.

Ian_S1090,
Does this happen every time? Are you able to easily reproduce the behavior?

Yes. When I first got it the same happened, then one day in May when I put the camera back up after charging I speculatively connected the solar panel and it worked. Fast forward to this past weekend and for some reason the camera went off line. Took it down got it working again, put it back up connected the solar charger and immediately got a notification saying Arlo has received a factory reset request or words to that effect. Tried three more times with the same result and gave up. It is currently working on its own battery.

The same thing has started happening with our Pro 3, except with a charging cable.
It was fine until yesterday when, immediately after an android app update, I received an app notification regarding a factory reset. The Pro 3 disappeared from the camera list, and had to be added again.
Now, whenever the camera is plugged in with the magnetic charging cable, it trips offline and has to be re-synced.
It works fine when running on battery. But, because it is in a hard-to-reach location, I added the charging cable to avoid constant battery changes.
I posted in this thread because it sounds like a related/similar issue.

Also, the Pro 3 LED is now solid amber when running on a charged battery, which I have never seen before.
