I've had 11 or so cameras on my subscription for a long time and distinguished their locations through a naming convention: The first three letters of the device name indicate the residence at which the camera is located. Today I discovered that the UI now lets us create locations and then indicate which devices are at each location. But when I created a second location and went to "move" cameras to that location, the UI informed me that I needed a subscription for that location. What? I created a single database entry--the new location--and then attempted to change a property value on an existing device and for that I'll need to purchase another subscription? Not happening. I just ordered five more cameras for a new residence but I'm cancelling the order. If I have to pay an additional subscription for each location, there's less of a barrier to switching to other brands. Arlo was way ahead when I started using it in 2016, but there are other products available that don't price gouge just because you add an entry to a database.

The old UI that uses Library also had the ability to charge for separate locations but was never enforced. The new UI does enforce that second subscription - no way around it.
