2025 September : Had Arlo Pro 2 for years with no real issue, good quality sound and video, and suddenly out of the blue, the recorded sound on live or record is very loud for no reason on all 4 cameras, 3 plugged in and one on a solar panel - same problem.

An update has been done recently (can't remember when - just realised the change lately) and this issue appeared. Software and hardware updates are done. Connecting and disconnecting didn't solve that problem. Videos are unusable now as this sound (static + clicking + amplified surrounding sound - although super quiet isolated area) is unbearable.

Just to be more specific: nothing changed in the location/installation/surrounding of those cameras, meaning no possible interferences or else.

A solution to this?

Thanks

@ShayneS I was able to resolve the audio issues with all of my Arlo Pro 2 Cameras by removing them and readding them to the Arlo app. However, the one and only single regular Arlo Pro camera that I own still has a very noticeable loud audio noise similar to the issues with the Arlo Pro 2's even after I removed and readded the camera back to the hub. Does the new firmware fix both Arlo Pro and Pro 2's or just the Pro 2? Could you check with the developers and see if this should resolve this issue or not?

My Arlo Pro is running the following firmware on the camera.

Firmware version - 1.092.1.0_9_120d8b7.

My two PRO 2 cameras are fixed and are much better now with the software fix. However my three PRO cameras still have the loud background noise. Tried removing them and reinstalling them a few times with no change in the background noise. I'll give it a few more days to see if they get any better.

PRO Camera Firmware on all three cameras: 1.092.1.0_9_120d8b7

Thanks for your help!

I've been out of commission for a little while and haven't responded.  But removing and adding my Pro2 cameras back completely solved the issue for me.  Thanks all!!

Hi

Are you still experiencing this symptom with the Pro cameras?

Hi

Thanks for checking in.

Sound is much better,  but I  have a new issue now.

When I look at my feed, every second screen is blank, so I scroll again and the video comes into play.

Just annoying when I am trying to find something and need to double scroll each event.

Any thoughts?

More problems. More problems. More problems. Mine don't play when I go into Feed. Only the first one or two. Then it's intermittent.

Is anyone in control of this development team? Is anyone in control of whatever is released? (Spoiler alert: rhetorical questions.)

Yes exactly the same. First one or two then its intermittent. So annoying

It's not just annoying. It's constant with every release. It's unacceptable. This is a commercial product, not some kind of side projects for hobbyists.
