Motion detection and zone

Did buy me a Arlo Pro 2..
Did mount one of the camera over the garage port. Did try to make 2 zone But it seems that is not working because i get videos of CAR from the road i Dont wont:(
The i read that the camera must be connect to power to make the zones to work , Realy? Is that a fact.. if so this buy is a real bummer:(

If i use a solar panel And connect this to the camera, will the zones work then?

Unfortunately the answer to using Solar panels to be able to use the zones feature is a no - the camera has to be plugget in to AC for that feature to work.
