I am going to make an enclosure to protect my camera from the elements. Rain and snow in particular. Any suggestions on what material would be best used as a clear cover over the front of box. Something the camera can view thru. This camera will be posted at my store parking lot exit to view license plates as they leave.

Any good clear plastic will work... but make sure the box isn't metal ( blocks the wifi signal )
And put the lens right up against the window.
As to getting plates, good luck.... the cars better be about 10+ ft to do that. The Pro2 is not designed to capture plates and at more than 15-20 ft it won't work. If moving even harder.

If you're relying on motion detection, then it would be prudent to test that it works well through the plastic.
I suspect it will (most plexiglas and acrylic should pass IR), but I think it's better to test it before you build the box.

Thanks for the info. I ordered an Acrylic Dome camera cover and will try that first. The Motion detection feature is to be a key to my set-up - so we will see-. Just as a note, I have set this camera at the exit of my parking lot to test it's capabilities. The camera is mounted at 28 inches from groung level. Vehicles must pass with-in 10ft. to 15ft. in order to exit. Arlo pro2 works OK for this, NOT GREAT....but good enuff for my purposes.
The cost of an actual License Capture Camera is out of reach at this time. From my research, that camera cost upwards of $800.00
