Arlo Pro 2; Firmware: 1.16.3.2_3563_6cd3d19; Apple IOS 14.0.1
Moved a camera to a new location and tried to rename it. In the app, as soon as I change the name and hit save, it immediately reverts back to the original name.
Using the website, I change the name and save it, all looks good until I log out and then log in again, name has reverted to original.
What I've tried:
Removing camera battery, reinstalling batter, and re-syncing - no good.
Removed the camera, removed battery, re-installed the battery, added new device (camera), changed name from default (Camera) to new name. Same as above - no good.
Completely rebooted the base. Added base serial number back to my account (it gets removed when you reboot). Tried renaming both ways listed above, same thing.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi @deltagolden @sideburnie @troyski
May I ask if you can try clearing your Arlo apps cache then try renaming your affected camera again? This is a temporary method that might work as a temporary fix until the issue is permanentely resolved.
Thank you!
**Also, please let me know when you tried to rename your camera again with a (rough time/date)**

Holy crap Shayne. How did they hire you as a mod? Read the thread. We all have the same issue.

This thread was entertaining and I assume Shayne is a robot but I just confirmed what redd33 said to fix the problem but it is actually much simpler than Red33 said. The problem does seem to be the granted access to someone else. I went onto the app and to the settings and selected the grant access (i only have one person listed so if you have more than one you will have to do this for all I assume). I selected the person and the then hit edit and unchecked the camera I was trying to rename and hit save. Once I did this which basically disabled them from having access to that camera I was able to rename. Once I renamed the camera and saved it I then went back and gave them access to that camera again. Mine is all fixed now. Good Luck everyone

Red33 gets credit too. Still seems to be a bug that Netgear should fix.

Arlo cameras still suck! I will be getting the Lorex 4K UHD Fusion NVR Security System this summer when my contract is up.

I have been back and forth with support for 3 months and they couldn't figure this out. Thanks!
