Hello there. Trying to reset my Arlo pro 2 system. Have a vm4500 base. Tried all restring suggestions. The reset does not want to connect when that swirly thing goes for a few minutes and does not connect. Any helpful hints?

Have followed all the Arlin structures to reconnect. As of May 12 this year the cameras stopped recording any movement  just like that. All 5 of them. Have read all the follow up procedures. I’ve contacted Arlo to ass if they cancelled the Free 7 day on going capture. They have all but ignored my question. I believe this is the problem. But if there is a fix I’d really appreciate it. Frustrated to no end with all this

Are you trying to reinstall the base?  Or is this an issue with reinstalling the cameras?

7-day cloud recording is still provided for your cameras.

 

I am confused about your current status.  

  1. Are the cameras and base showing up in your account?
  2. Are you able to livestream the cameras?

Having tried both many times to no avail. I think Arlo has done something to the free 7 day rolling capture of movements. I’ve had the system for about 4 years and has worked exceptionally u til May 12 of this year.

1/. Yes the cameras and base were showing up on my account 

2/ unable to livestream unless I manually tapped each camera for a viewing. But after that no movements get captured anymore. Use to be that I went up to a camera and I can see the faint infrared nights flickering. Now nothing.  Just a black screen on the camera 

 

3/. Have reset the cameras and base station many times and had  Arlo walk me thru the steps. Nothing.  But when asked if they deliberately cut my Free 7 day rolling service I get no reply.

First, Arlo hasn't removed the free 7-day storage.  Your issue must be something else.  There have been several folks who found that recording stopped with their old cameras - many have reported that removing the equipment from their account, doing a paper-clip reset on the base, and adding everything back resolved the problem.

 

  1. Have you tried the motion detection test on a camera (just to make sure that is still working)?
  2. Can you make a manual recording while livestreaming a camera?
