Hi there,

Hopfully someone can help! My Arlo Pro 2 has started flashing blue and orange and will not connect to the home base.

It was working fine untill it ran out of battery the other day. When I charged it back up and tried to reconnect it wouldn't reconnect. After waiting a couple days for it to reconnect I removed it from the account and tried to reset. That is when noticed the blue and orange blinking. Since then I have tried to factory reset, while its plugged in, not plugged in and with the battery out while plugged in and had the same result.

Please let me know what I can do to solve this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Can you try adding the camera using the arlo web portal in pc browser connected to the local network.

Hi Danny,

Thanks for your responses! For question 1 I agree, I have looked everywhere for a potential solution but cannot find anything. For Arlo 2 it says "Alternating blue and amber. A firmware update is in progress. DO NOT TURN OFF THE CAMERA." Because the camera died, I think I’m experiencing what happens if you turn it off while it’s not supposed to be turned off.

For question 2 I have just tried it and unfortunately no success.

If you have any other ideas, please let me know! I’ve tried everything I can think of and am happy to give anything a go. They were expensive cameras and its disappointing to have one die so soon!

I am experiencing the exact same problem. I cannot find a solution to reset or reconnect.

Have you reinserted the battery? That will reset the camera to a known state. If the blinking goes on for >15 minutes, it's safe to try this since the update (if that's what actually caused the issue) has failed. If still blinking, it seems to be a failed camera.

I have removed and reinserted the battery. Separately, I remove the battery and used a cable for power. In both instances, the camera returns to the same blinking state. Is the camera really toast? 😞

So it would seem. Is it still in the 1 year warranty?

Hi,

Unfortunitly ,its about a year and a half old so passed the one year warranty. Does this mean that the camera is dead?

That would be my guess.
