The camera is able to operate without a battery using the standard 5vdc USB adapter. Check operation first to confirm since generic adapters may not give you the required voltage.
If you want to operate the camera with a battery you will need to use a QC charger such as the one supplied with the camera since the pro2 battery is 7.2vdc.
Most users install a wall power socket close to the camera to plugin the adapter using a short USB charger cable.
Alternatively you can use a outdoor extension charger cable/adapter from arlo if long enough.
If you intend a DYI the transformer and wire gauge required will depend on the length of the cable installed.

The camera will operate on 5V with or without battery. The 9V output is only needed to charge the battery so using a 5V-only charger will work fine and the battery will slowly discharge as all batteries do in storage.
