Hi,

We have 6 cameras and would to add the security system. We have 3 main egresses to our home. Do we need multiple keypads to allows the alarms to be deactivated upon entry at each egress? We'd rather not have our children have access to the app, physical devices are preferable.

Fpiii,

Additional keypad accessories will be available soon for those who need them for additional entry points.

You can find these here once they are available: https://www.arlo.com/en-us/accessories.homesecuritysystem

@JamesC Is it still expected that additional keypads will be available?

JamesC,

We are 9 months away from the first suggestion that multiple keypads would be available as a hardware add-on supported by the Arlo Secure software.

Admittedly, I should know better than to make purchase decisions based on pipe dreams, but this solution seemed inevitable and short term.   It's simply not practical to have only one keypad for all but limited floor plans/apartment situations.  So, from a business perspective, Arlo shouldn't want to be single keypad only security system very long.  Right?

We have not been able to arm our Arlo Secure system for 7 months because of the size/layout of our house. We have, however, been paying for the monthly support on many features we cannot use - including the basic security system.

Is there a realistic ETA on additional keypad availability with fully functional software support?  I cannot logic myself into being patient much longer.

The question of multiple keypads, its important if you have different floors at home, but pads need to be in synch so you don’t need to arm/disarm each. My question is:

1. When this capability will become available

2. is there a way to listen the chime sound when a door opens on a different room/floor if I have the keypad in the first floor.
3. Arlo keypad makes a sound when a door opens but not when it closes. Is there a setting to enable sound also when it closes?

juansans,

1. As long as the keypads are linked to the same account/location, they will both manage the same modes at that location. For more information on how to set up a Wire-Free keypad, see here: https://kb.arlo.com/000063043/How-do-I-setup-and-install-my-Arlo-Wire-Free-Keypad

2. A notification will be sent to your mobile device.

3. When the access trigger is enabled, the sensor will monitor for open and send a notification to your mobile device when closed. See here for more information: https://kb.arlo.com/000062946/How-does-the-Arlo-All-in-One-Sensor-detect-Open-Close-Access-events
