Hi,

I have my camera in a far-off location, and I'm trying to maximize on the time I can spend away from it before needing to charge it again.

I know that turning off device location, turning off spotlight, and setting power management to "Best Battery Life" should save me battery life, but what else can I do?

Will turning motion detection sensitivity down increase my battery life? What about detection zones? I currently have no detection zones set up, and I'm not sure if selecting a zone will consume more or less of my battery life (under the assumption that it does not increase the number of motion alerts).

Yes, but of course if you turn it down to much, then the camera won't trigger when you want it to.

I suggest walking into the area of interest while running the motion detection test.  Find the lowest threshold that detects you reliably, and don't go beyond that.

There are times when the camera triggers excessively due to weather (wind moving branches, etc).  If you see that, you should turn off motion detection until that weather subsides.

That doesn't help battery life.  The camera always streams to the cloud when motion is detected.  The cloud then supresses the recording and notification if it is out-of-zone.

Keep the recording time when motion is detected short.  More seconds of recording per day -> shorter battery life.

Also consider getting the solar panel.
