I have connected everything and am looking in correct library. I am overseas. Am given this 1st error but can’t see connection error as everything online and working except for access. Any ideas. Also can I use a vpn to access outside lan or do I need port forwarding? Thanks

You either need to set up port forwarding in the app and your router, or you need to deploy a home VPN in the router (assuming it has that feature).

The VPN approach definitely works with iOS. There have been issues reported with Android - Arlo released firmware to address that, but I think there still might be some Android users who are finding it doesn't work for them.
