My essential wiFi spotlight camera will not connect to my 2.4G router no matter what I do. Nor can I reset to factory settings.

What do you see when you try to either onboard or reset the camera? Are you holding the sync button for >15 seconds when resetting? Is the battery charged?

No personal details on an Internet forum, please.
The "no w no lights" is problematic. First, try a reset as described here:
https://kb.arlo.com/000062438/How-do-I-factory-reset-and-re-sync-my-Arlo-camera
If still no good/no lights, swap at the store or, if you have a subscription, use Settings, Support to start communication with official support.
