I have the arlo essential spotlight security cameras and cannot locate device. The camera will chime from the QR code. My wifi is 2GEXT. Is this a difference from 2.4GHZs. If it’s a difference do I need to call my provider to have the router set to 2.4GHZs

No.
Are you seeing the camera in your router's attached device list?

OK.
A couple of things you can try:
- double-check that the wifi security is WPA2 (AES).
- If you have punctuation (dashes, spaces, etc) or accented characters in your network name or password, try removing them.
Do you know what wifi channel your router is using?
