One of my cameras turn off with warning about low battery. I can turn it back on again, and the battery is almost full. And within a few hours it turns back off with the same warning. The email notification I get:
Arlo System Update: Low battery detected on Bakside Sør
It looks like your Arlo Bakside Sør is running low on battery.
You still have 1% of battery power left, but in order to maintain uninterrupted peace of mind, we recommend charging the device as soon as possible.

Can you clarify the model? You selected VMC3030 in model field, which is the original wirefree camera, but you say "Essential Spotlight" in your post title.
When was the camera purchased?

Sorry about that, I wrote the post on my phone and didn't find VMC2030.
I see I'm able to select it while on a computer.
So the camera is VMC2030.

Something might be wrong with the camera's charging circuitry.
You could try a factory reset, and see if the problem disappears: https://kb.arlo.com/000062438/How-do-I-factory-reset-my-Arlo-wire-free-camera
If it doesn't, then you could either exchange it with the seller, or contact Arlo support. If you can exchange it, I suggest that path - it will be faster and easier than contacting support.
