i need help understanding why i got no notifications when the fire happened and it magically went off after i went to sleep

If power went out to your router/Internet connection, there would be no ability to record anything. We simply can't explain anything that happened that may be related to a fire. Maybe the circuit that the router was plugged into overheated and started the fire? No way for us to tell but maybe the fire department could help.

 

BTW, smoke detectors likely would have awakened you much sooner.

my home burnt to the ground around 8 pm and i went to sleep at 4 the camera stops recording shortly after i fall askerp

i need a solution bc other wise this seems like a lawsuit bc i would have died burnt alive had i not woke myself up

Note there are two methods used for fire detection.

  1. Audio Detection (listening for smoke detector chirps)
  2. Video Analysis (which is still in beta)

It sounds like your issue is with the second method (the one in beta).

 

The second method only kicks in when the camera triggers for motion (or sound).  Generally the cameras only detect motion about 20-25 feet away.

Did you get a recording during the fire?  If you didn't, then the cloud wouldn't have any video to analyze.
