Hi All,
Just bought the Arlo 2nd Gen and Chime, got the doorbell working, but the chime will not connect at all. I've tried another device too see if that will sort it and it fails to connect.
Can anyone help before I end up taking it back and get a different product?

WHich chime? There have been 2 similar but different ones.
WHat do you mean by trying a second device? A different phone or did you swap the first chime for another? Are you using iOS or Android? What exactly have you tried and what do you see? The whole sequence of events is needed.

Hi,
Chime 2 which came as a freebie with the doorbell from Argos.
Tried a different phone, Android.. I've reset the app, reset the chime several times as instructions have said, it gets to connecting then fails to connect to Arlo_4811 everytime. the doorbell has connected first time.

Check that the phone settings allow unknown open WiFi connections to occur. If that doesn't help, I'd swap it at the store.

Hi, @ShayneS
Gave up in the end as it was on the 2nd chime 2 and took it back to retailer as faulty goods, got another brand instead and it connected 1st time with no issues. Doorbell worked perfectly, just the chime that wasn't wanting to play ball.

Maybe there's a disconnect here. You make it sound like you used a normal/traditional chime rather than an Arlo one. Replacing with a different brand isn't possible if we're talking about the Arlo chime.

I've taken the entire doorbell and chime back as the chime 2 wasn't connecting even the replacement wasn't. So I had got fed up, bought another brand doorbell and chime to replace it and they both connected to my WiFi first time
