Hi. I am trying to reconnect my Arlo Smarthub VMB4540 to Apple Homekit. I have restarted the base station numerous times, and after hitting the Set up button, it is just stuck on "Discovering your device. please wait.”

I think I also need a reset token. Trying to connect to HomeKit and it’s requiring a QR code or the 8digit HomeKit code. Neither came with base station.

Thanks for the reset. Unfortunately, I get the same response. The app walks me through selecting the device, my home, and the room to associate it with, then asks for the 8 digit HomeKit code or to scan the HomeKit QR. I have neither of those, and am not sure how to go about getting them. They did not come with the device. Thoughts?

@boadster Can you try this.
To setup an Arlo device without a setup code:
- Launch the Arlo Secure app on your Apple device.
- Tap Settings > My Devices.
- Select an Arlo Base Station.
- Tap HomeKit.
- Select the Base Station you want to add to HomeKit.
- Select a Home or tap Add New Home.
If you don’t have a Home set up in the Arlo Secure app, you are directed to create a Home. - Select a Room or tap Add a New Room.
If you don’t have a Room set up in the Arlo Secure app, you are directed to create a Room. - Tap Continue to add devices to HomeKit to add devices or additional Base Stations.
- Continue through the setup flows to confirm the name and room placement for each device.
Note: The name that you give each device is used for Siri commands. Choose a unique name that is easy to remember and pronounce. - Confirm the name of the device.
- Tap Skip, or rename any other devices as needed.
- Tap Finish.
Your devices are ready to use with HomeKit.

Sorry, just now getting back to this. I definitely tried the steps you outlined and described that in my previous response. I've tried again multiple times in the last couple months with the same result. I am always brought to a screen that asks for the homekit code or QR code. I have also checked pretty regularly for a firmware update and found nothing. Please advise.

I’ve tried that multiple
times. I’ve also tried new accounts, etc. I have a support thread that has asked for screenshots, and my shipping address. I will continue the support through that.
