I have connected the device to Google home but the google hub isn’t chiming when someone presses the doorbell. Seems a very basic function I can’t get to work. Is this even possible? To be clear I want to hear when someone presses the doorbell on my google hub.

Hi Longmoreuk,

Google Assistant should make an announcement when someone presses your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell Wireless. Try rebooting your Google Assistant device to see if that helps, Otherwise, try unlinking Arlo from your Google Assistant and re-link it again to see if that helps.

(UPDATE: 9/8) Make sure to check the following as well before trying to unlink Arlo from your Google Assistant:

  1. Make sure the device is added to a home in the Google Home app
  2. Make sure call notifications are turned "on" in Arlo
  3. Make sure you're getting calls on the Arlo app when the button is pressed
