My Arlo motion detection applets are not working on IFTTT. IFTTT logs show the following:
This was working perfectly fine about a week ago, but hasn't worked at all since. I've tried creating new applets, even on different IFTTT accounts and Arlo accounts, and have received the same error. I've also tried editing the Arlo service integration (reauthenticating) and disconnecting and reconnecting. Nothing seems to work. My only other Arlo applets (arm and disarm) works fine with the Button and Life360.
PLEASE HELP!?

An update went out late last week that should resolve the issue users were experiencing with IFTTT applets failing. Please let us know if you are still experiencing an issue.

I can confirm that my Arlo Motion Detection in IFTTT is working again; it just took 2.5 months.

@JamesC , I am still having issues. I disconnected Arlo at IFTTT and reconnected. It shows that it connected succesfully. Then I try to use the applet: Begin recording when motion is detected during the workday
I want to use IFTTT because I am in Arlo's SmartThings mode, not the normal Arlo Armed mode.
The first IFTTT applet option pulldown shows my 4 arlo cameras to select for motion, but a couple seconds after this page loads I get a temporary red banner "We can't access your service". I have confirmed in my arlo app that all 4 arlo cameras are working.... I can play and see live video.
The 2nd IFTTT option to select camera to record just says "loading" with error under it: "Arlo doesn't have any available options". I click try again then the error changes to "Arlo seems to be down right now." When I go to my IFTTT services, Arlo page it shows still active.

@kevin4, I've never used SmartThings... However, I would assume that if you're managing your Arlo system/cameras using SmartThings, that you should use triggers and/or actions through SmartThings? Maybe connect your IFTTT account with SmartThings: https://ifttt.com/smartthings. I am thinking that because your cameras aren't armed using the normal Netgear Armed mode, then the trigger isn't being setup properly in IFTTT. I know that my triggers/applets do not run if the system isn't in Armed mode.

This problem is still unresolved. When I attempt to set up an IFTTT applet for my Arlo Q I get get a temporary red banner which reads "We can't access your service". The dropdown list to select devices just reads "Loading" with a message underneath reading "Arlo doesn't have any available options. Try again". If I select the Try again option, the message changes to "Arlo seems to be down right now. Try again".

I don't have an Arlo Q so am unable to assist with that at all but I can confirm that the issue was resolved for me using the Arlo Pro wireless cameras. I am able to set up new triggers and have them do things in IFTTT without issue again. I had already deleted any recipes that existed before the issue arose so I'm also not able to give information about that.

IFTTT could not load cameras or connect to the service; even though under settings the service shows as connected. I abandoned IFTTT and used an app called Stringify instead - the cameras connected immediately and I was able to set my time lapse video recordings. Pumped about Stringify as I can see it solving a lot of the rules/recording shortcomings and complexities of the Arlo product (Base Station and Cameras).

IFTTT does not work for me. It says "Arlo seems to be down right now" when I try to setup an applet where Arlo is armed from a Google Assistant phrase.

Arlo and IFTTT still doesn’t work for me. I get request failed 404 error when trying to create an applet. I had an IFTTT applet via alexa to arm and disarm arlo that worked. I tried disconnecting the service and reconnecting and have now lost this applet along with the ability to create new ones. Any updates or anyone have success with 404 error after disconnecting and reconnecting Arlo IFTTT service?

I'm unable to create an applet using the Arlo Arm/Disarm actions.
When choosing, I get a "Loading" string in the camera selection combobox that never updates.
Looking at the response, seems to be giving a "The requested page or file does not exist"

I wonder if this has to do with motion detection triggers vs arm/disarm actions. It appears at a glance that people no longer having problems (including myself) are using the triggers from motion to turn on lights or whatever and the folks still having issues are trying to arm and disarm the devices via smart home assistance voice commands.

It’s not just arm/disarm, it’s anytime you try and establish a connection from IFTTT back to Arlo. You can go from Arlo to an IFTTT trigger, for example, If Arlo detects motion, turn on a Hue Light. But, you can’t arm or disarm using voice commands, or have Arlo follow Then. For example, If Front camera detects motion THEN record motion on back. You can do these things other ways, just not with IFTTT. It used to work great and would be nice to have back.

I’ve got Stringify to work by arming a single cameras base station. This arms it for all cameras attached to that station. I’ve been testing it every night in Stringify to Arm at 9:00pm. It’s worked great.

Wow, totally frustrating that Strinfigy will arm for some and not others (same for IFTTT where folks have that working). In Stringify, I have tried to use the same trigger and different cameras (to rule out a camera issue) and it just will not fire/arm the base station (arm or disarm). I am curious if it has something to do with additional 'modes' on the base station. We have Armed, Disarmed, Schedule, Day Mode at Home. Would have to convince my partner to delete the additional modes in order to run some tests, he was frustrated setting them up so not convinced I could get him on board with more effort 🙂
