My Arlo motion detection applets are not working on IFTTT. IFTTT logs show the following:
This was working perfectly fine about a week ago, but hasn't worked at all since. I've tried creating new applets, even on different IFTTT accounts and Arlo accounts, and have received the same error. I've also tried editing the Arlo service integration (reauthenticating) and disconnecting and reconnecting. Nothing seems to work. My only other Arlo applets (arm and disarm) works fine with the Button and Life360.
PLEASE HELP!?

An update went out late last week that should resolve the issue users were experiencing with IFTTT applets failing. Please let us know if you are still experiencing an issue.

Thanks for the quick reply @Comrade86. Just to confirm, the issue is with Arlo/Netgear and not IFTTT?

Afternoon all,
Could somebody from netgear please give an update on this issue?
How long will it be before this is resolved?
It is a widespread issue effecting many people, surely this should have been resolved by now.
I use this function alot as there is no way of arming using IFTTT into anything other than the standard armed mode which doesnt give any flexibility on triggering multiple cameras.
I would really apreciate this to be fixed asap.
Thanks
Nick M

I noticed my applets (on motion turn on smart light) broken on Oct 5th, 2017. Not really sure when they broke but that is when I got the notification from ifttt that the applet had been disabled. Trying to check for details of the service error (there are none available) I came across an ifttt status page from Sept 28th noting reported issues with the arlo service.

still no fix ? anybody know why this is talking so long ? it looks like Arlo was notified of this issue over a month ago ...
considering arlo's user base I would think failures between Arlo and IFTTT would be top priority to fix
Netgear/Arlo help !

Netgear - your IFTTT integration simply doesn't work. Claiming you have IFTTT integration is misleading and deceptive and contrary to law. You need to fix the "IF motion detected..." condition for your arlo cameras. It's quite clearly broken and was broken after we all purchased your product. Please get someone to fix it and lets move on.

I had to go to Stringify as well to get the triggers working... However, I'm still an IFTTT fan and need to have them and @netgear get this resolved. I'm just glad the temporary workaround (Stringify) is working.

How do you use Stringify to turn on Wemo Light Switch when Arlo Pro detects motion? Thanks for any guide...

@JediGear, I got a little fancy on this flow. I hope I can explain the flow well enough for you to duplicate. Each line item below corresponds to a column from the image above.
- (a). The Arlo Pro Camera (Walkway) gets a motion trigger. (b). "Date & Time" is set for only "Nighttime" so that the lights will only turn on at night.
- (a). TP-Link Switch turns on Entrance light. (b). Stringify sends me a Push Notification.
- Timer waits 10 minutes
- TP-Link Switch turns off Entrance light.
After playing with this flow, Stringify does seem more advanced than IFTTT as it allows multiple conditions and actions. However, IFTTT still supports more services. Another frustrating issue with Stringify is that once you build the link between the triggers and actions, you cannot remove the link. I worked on 2 other flows before finalizing the one you see above.
As an FYI, I wrote an API (Nighttime API) that can be used with IFTTT that covers "Date & Time," Light On, "Timer," and Light Off from the flow above. More info on Nighttime API can be found at https://redd.it/6ss0ak.

This bug not a deal breaker for me, but a big deal, all the same.
I still get notifications from Netgear regarding motion. I do like the extra reminder, and protection, when getting a phone call from the IFTTT app.
My guess is Netgear is working on a way to make money from this. I'd guess they broke it on purpose, judging from the lack of response I'm seeing in this thread,
My two cents, after I've spent a lot more than that with them.

@UsedJeans: I really appreciate your feedback - THANKS!
I managed to create simple flows, now my Arlo cameras are activating my Wemo light switches via IFTTT & Stringify.
I am also interested in using Stringify FLows to record (or DOWNLOAD) Arlo Videos directly to my Google Drive folder....but I have yet to find out how to create the command to dump the video into the G-drive folder.
Here is the sample from Stringify: https://search.stringify.com/flows/DSCAwf0704j8A6d9cwpq
What I am missing is the "parameters" to dump the video file into the drive folder.....Any ideas?

I recently purchased Arlo with the advertisement that it worked with IFTT.
I get the applet error message as well. I downloaded Stringify as others suggested, but I can not find Arlo as a option on the app. Was it removed?
All in all I am about ready to return my Arlo product and report for false advertising if they do not get the IFTT connection issue fixed.

@Ann66, it's there, I just looked. You have to add your Arlo account as a Thing first. See my screenshot below.
