I am having the same problem. I have had the wired doorbell for 6 months. It was working fine, announcing on the Alexa devices and on the phone. A few days ago (with nothing changed) it stopped announcing on the Alexa devices. I re-enabled the skill, I even removed the doorbell and reinstalled. It worked for a few hours and then stopped. All of my settings are correct.
Help!

Open you Alexa app. Then go to the routine that is not working and open that. At the top right of the routine you should see three dots. Click on that. Then click on change trigger. A menu will open up and then click on smart home. Your device window should show up. Find the current camera trigger and look below it you should see a switch icon with the same name. Set that as you new trigger. It should have a option menu pop up letting youset it to activate when motion occurs. Make sure to save routine and exit. This fixed my issue. If it works for you ,you will need to change all your camera routines that activate with motion in Alexa. Hope this helps

I believe they had spit the asset to have a camera and switch a long time ago. Anyway I tried changing the trigger to be the switch as per your instruction. But it doesn't work I am afraid.

Sorry,I know how frustrating it is. Make sure your motion detection in the camera is on thru Arlo. Next I would check and make sure your Alexa app is still linked to the Arlo app. Another thing that has helped in the passed was to remove the camera from the Alexa app and reinstall by having it find new devices. Also check if your using a routine in the Alexa app that it is enabled. Good luck

I'm still working with tech support. It's very very very difficult to interface with the case support team. Sometimes they don't even read what I say and other times they don't even know what device or problem is happening. This is after several back and forths about the exact issue.
But I will persevere with them. But no solution or suggestion has been offered and I created the case and this thread last month. Not an optimist at the moment.
A simple message to the team that develops the Arlo skill for Alexa could probably fix this issue in no time. It's just impossible to get the message to the right team. I can't even get past the front door.

I noticed this when there was an update on my fire tv devices on August 1st. I'm guessing it's on the Alexa side but I hope Arlo engineers will jump on them to fix this.
Modifying the routines doesn't do anything because Arlo notifications don't work in Alexa now. Other commands do work, just not notifications for routines. I hope Arlo is is taking this seriously and working on it. I didn't realize how much I use and need this till it stopped working.
Please help!!!

Check your trigger in your Alexa routines. Mine mysteriously changed back to the Arlo camera device instead of the camera motion switch. The Arlo motion switch will have the same name as the camera but will have a switch icon. Had to reselect all the triggers in my Alexa motion announcement routines. Also make sure your Arlo cameras are still active for motion.

Sorry tofer1907
I assumed you were using Alexa routines that you create in the Alexa app.Routines use triggers such as the Arlo cameras to activate different actions in Alexa. Routine are what I use for Alexa Arlo motion detected announcements( you can customize what Alexa says)turning lights on, alarm sirens…. All Using the Arlo camera motion sensors. It gives you more options.
I would check to make sure you Alexa is still linked to Arlo under the Alexa skills. Sometimes just restarting your Arlo router works. You might try making a routine in Alexa see if that works.

It's now been a week and could we get an official announcement form Arlo on where they are at with this?
I've deleted and added the devices again and have made new routines and it still doesn't work. I've tried the so called "solution" and when I select change trigger in the Arlo app, my only options are Smart Home>Camera Name> and then a screen "When motion is" Not detected or Detected and I select Detected and that's it. When I select camera trigger there is no switch icon with the same name. I don't even know what that is.
FYI
I have 5 Arlo Pro 4 cameras.
Can someone from Arlo please give an update. I'm getting very frustrated!

i have tried all of this repeatedly and nothing is working. i have created routines and still it does not work. Arlo blames Alexa and Alexa blames Arlo, someone needs to get this figured out. I believe the issue is with both. It is extremely frustrating and in the past when it seemed to become unlinked, it linked up pretty easily, however not this time. please resolve this.
