how can I have motion notifications sent to my IPhone

Enable notifications by editing your modes.

Were you able to resolve this issue? As jguerdat says above, push notifications can be found by navigating to Mode > select mode that activates motion detection > click edit for the rule you wish to change > enable push notifications.
