Where is the Armed and Disarmed

i have looked at everything i can find on how to set the motion, i have even watched utube videos.

i can not find the armed . Also the running man icon as soon as i go live on the camera it goes off.

please help!

All modes, including Armed, are in the Mode tab.  Log in, select Mode, select your system and Armed, Disarmed and schedule are all there by default.  Any modes you've created are there, too.

The running man has three colors - black is armed (motion detection on), gray is disarmed (mothion detection off) and amber/yellow/orange (recording video).  Using live view overrides any mode setting or recording.

Got an iPhone 7+. The modes tab is missing! Cannot disarm cameras. Everything is still fine on my iPhone 6+. This rules out the iOS as it's the same on both phones. Only the devices, library and settings "tabs" are visible at the bottom of the screen. Any others getting this problem? November 3, 2016

By any chance are you logging g into your 7+ using a guest account? If so, that could explain it. Make sure you're using the master account.

Also, new devices with new OSes can be problematic. I have a 2 year old Nexus 6 but with Android 7 and there are issues that didn't exist while on Android 6. An app update will be needed to resolve that sort of thing. A workaround is to use the phone's browser set to use the desktop version of the Arlo site.
