In the morning and evening, we make multiple runs to drop off the kids, pick them up, take them to classes etc. The motion detector is going off for each of these and causing too many alerts. Is there a way to turn off motion detection (other than manually disarming/ arming) every time we plan to leave the house and come back?

You could use the geofencing so that the cameras never record when you're at home or you could use a schedule.

What I do is have a mode for every day use and the notifications are off. I have a secondary security system at home. I have a different mode for when I go away on holiday and the notifications are on

Thanks Steve. The camera I have is placed outside at the front door. Turning off the camera or geofencing doesnt help since I still want to record when there is motion at times other than its me and my family walking-in and out of the house.
