If it detects motion, and recording time is set to 30 seconds, why does it not start recording again if there is more motion after the end of 30 seconds?
For example, a contractor pulled up in my driveway, got out and took some photos. I had recording time set for 45 seconds. The odd thing is, after the 45 seconds was up, he was still there, but nothing else was recorded - like when he backed out of the driveway for example. Why did it not record that?

The general reason has to do with how the motion is detected. It works best moving across the FOV, perhaps starting at an edge. Motion more or less directly to or from the camera won't be picked up as easily. Of course, the speed of the motion gets in there, too. Grab a snapshot from live view and share the link here from the library. Maybe we'll see something.
