I have just purchased the Arlo camera and am trying to understand how to set it up. I do not find the setup very intuitive 😞
What I would like to do is have the camera record when it detects motion between midnight and 6am (for example). The rest of the time the camera should remain "idle" although needs to be accessible in "live" mode if I wanted to take a quick look at things.
I have tried to add a mode to do the above but this does not allow "when" to activate the camera even though I can setup the rules ok. EG. have the camera record 60 seconds of video and email it to me when motion is triggered. I only want this mode to run between midnight and 6am however but there is no option to allow this hence my confusion.
Any help on how to do the above would be apreciated.

You need to edit the Schedule and tell it when your mode should be active.
When done make sure to activate the Schedule.

To edit the Schedule press the pencil icon next to the Schedule on the Mode tab. Once you're in the Schedule it's pretty self-explanatory.
Schedule your mode to your liking. You can vary your schedule individually for each day of the week. Note that if you want to have a mode scheduled to cross midnight, you need to split it into two separate time periods. X to midnight and midnight to Y.
When done, go back to the Mode page and activate the Schedule. That's it.
If you ever deviate from the schedule as a one-off, consider manually activating your desired mode (on the Mode tab), rather than editing the schedule. Once you're back on schedule again, reactivate the Schedule.
