One of the use cases I have is to use the cameras only when no one is at home (cameras inside house). If I set sensitivity to 100% will that use more battery than if the sensitivity is set to 80% or it will be the same and the only difference is that it will trigger more often if there is any movement? Also, do this cameras trigger based on sound or just images?
Thanks!

To best of my knowledge, no...
except of course maybe more battery usage due to more trigger events. The Arlo cam triggers off of the PIR ( Passive Infrared sensor ) not the actual pixel changes in the lens.
And, there is no sound trigger on the Arlo cameas ( no sound at all )... but you may want to look at the new Q camera being released which is an indoor cam but does have sound options
