A great enhancement would be to be able to block areas from motion detection. For example a busy road where the camera is monitoring the driveway.

mace10000,
The Arlo team is always looking for new ideas from our customers.
You should drop your idea about blocked area from Motion Detection inside the Arlo Idea Exchange.

I have two cameras facing the front of my house and one facing my driveway to the side. I need to be able to watch the road but NOT start recording everytime someone walks by with their dogs on the street. Motion sensing areas are kind of a must and I took for granted that this was a basic option given my previous Logitec Alert system had it (which is several years old).
Are there any plans on adding this feature or do I have to go back to the drawing board and find another camera system?
Also, I'm noticing a fairly large delay. I need this system to begin recording as soon as someone walks on my property...but the current delay is about 8-15 seconds. Is it not possible to start recording instantly upon sensing motion?

Fidelity,
Thank you for the suggestion! The development team is always looking for new ideas to improve our Arlo system. There is currently a thread discussing this a similar suggestion of yours for Motion Sensing Areas in the Arlo Idea Exchange, I encourage you to kudo the idea if you have not already!
If you have multiple cameras outside, you could assign one camera to detect motion for your second camera. This could be done via the rules.
An example is:
Motion Detected on Camera 1 will trigger Camera 2 to record.
Thank you for your contribution!
