Ok, so i had another go at this today.
Both mine and my wifes phone active for geo-fencing, both in zone while at home.....
My wife leaves first...no change, still shows in zone. (yes i did check she had her phone!).
Then I left, shown as out of zone almost immediately, but of course the system did not arm as it thinks my wife is at home.
Try as i might i cannot get it to work reliably with both phones.
If i disable my wife's phone, it works well with just the one phone, but two phones just does not want to know.
I thought maybe there is soemthing with the phone causing these issues, but everything seems to be in order.
I have life360 running on both phones, sending a trigger to arm arlo via IFTTT, and that works perfectly, so it is possible.....just not with the Arlo app.
Am i the only one having these issues?
Any ideas how i can solve this as i dont really want to rely on two other companies just to do something Arlo claims it can do for itself.....
Thanks
Nick

nickmobbs,
The app must be open on both devices in order for Geofencing to update the mode based on location. If you log out or force close the app, Geofencing will not work.
When testing, is the app logged in and running on both devices?
For more information, see here: How do I add and manage multiple mobile devices for geofencing?

I have the same problem. If I leave and my wife still remain at the house Arlo set my cameras on away and start recording still while my wife is home. If we both leave the house and mywife gets home it is still away. It does onyl work on my phone even though I set up both iphone correctly.
Antother thing is that I reinstalled my phone, now arlo find to phones with the same namne in genofecing-setup-menu. even though there is only one phone with that name and olny one of the phones work....
Does the netgear team test and fetch what is not working in the beta test??

Swoops,
Consider refreshing the enabled devices in your Geofencing settings. Edit your Geofencing settings and disable all enabled devices, save, and then enable all devices again.
Also be sure that the app is running on both devices to allow Geofencing to update mode based on location.

Not sure this will help but you need to make sure your wifes phone has the option turned on for "location". Not sure I am saying it correctly but android phones have an option that allows apps to know where the phone location is. If this isn't on I'm thinking Arlo software has no idea when she comes and goes? That would explain whyyours works and hers doesn't.

Swoops,
Thank you for the feedback, did you try the troubleshooting mentioned above? Some users have had success when refreshing their devices listed in the Geofencing settings.
Geofencing is still a Beta feature at this time and the engineering team is working hard to improve it. We appreciate any and all feedback related to this feature.

Hi JamesC,
I have been having this same issue since setting up the Arlo Pro system last month. Have tried your troubleshooting method posted above and under the 'Geofending' -> 'Enabled devices' menu it says the secondary device status is unavailable, and my iphone says 'out of zone' for which i am currently away from the house.
We have checked the settings on the secondary device which is an iPhone 7 Plus and location has been set to Always and enabled background app refresh and cellular data.
