I do know that access is from the Library area but other than checking things on or off I don't know what to do to establish a filter.

You can click on the number in any camera in the Devices tab to see only that camera or go to the library and click on the filter (funnel-looking icon) and select the cameras to be viewed. Be sure to save the filter.
