Feature Consideration re: Motion Detection

Don't see this in the current software so I apologize if I'm overlooking it, but my Ring doorbell has a feature that will allow me to 'draw' a motion detection area within their software, and then the camera will only detect motion within that drawn boundary of the set video frame. Seems like this would be a great new feature in the software that would cut down on false/unwanted detections while also increasing battery life as a result. Thoughts ?
