Detection works in Detection Mode, but not afterwards

I have the Arlo set to 90% sensitivity. When I put it in Detection Mode, the device's orange light lights up as I walk by. When I exit Detection Mode, however, it will not record unless I go right up to the camera (1-2ft). I have the device at about 8ft height and 10-15ft away from the front door. It should be in a perfect place to detect side to side movement. I have no idea why it seems to detect me in one mode but then doesn't record in the regular monitoring mode.

Would it be possible for you to swap the location of the camera with another camera to isolate the issue?  If you get the same results that will tell us there is an issue with the camera's location that is affecting the motion detection.  Please let us know the results!
