I'm considering an Arlo system but want to know if I can view what the camera is seeing without motion capture? In other words, can I connect and see what's going on live or do they only activate when they sense motion?
Thanks.

Hi Zone99,
Welcome to the community!
You will just need to login to your Arlo account via a web browser or Arlo app then you can watch what the camera sees and you can also either manually record it or take a snapshot. The motion detection takes place if you are not login to your Arlo account as per the rules and modes activated on the camera as well as based on the schedule that is set.
For further information about rules and modes respectively, check these link below:

What are “Modes” & how do I use them?
