Just got the Pro today, setup was a breeze!  I would like to be able to create a mode for when I'm home that turns off inside cameras and alerts but keeps outside ones on. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Nevermind, figured it out 🙂

Actually I didn't figure it out, I can only choose one camera when adding a new mode?  I want my two outside cameras on and my inside ones off.

Reedit the new mode to add cameras.

In the app go into"modes", select"add mode" and customize what you want each camera to do. You could take that further and create several cucumber modes and create a schedule based on the different modes, days of the week, and time of day. I set up modes for work, home, and late at night and created one complex schedule.

I used IFTTT to tell my cameras to do certain things in unique circumstances, like turn on between 2am-7am, but it sounds like this can be done natively in the app now -- albeit non-obviously -- so i may migrate functionality over.

That said, it'd be more powerful if it could NOT trigger when it's me (or an approved user) in the scene. Perhaps use facial recognition or something more simple with the phone. Right now if I'm up past 2am or awake before 7am it records and notifies me; if like to prevent that but have it intelligently start whenever I go upstairs to bed and turnoff whenever I wake up.

Do you have to manually switch between the modes, each part of the day trayes77?

You sound like you were able to accoplish exactly what I want, but I find myself limited by only being able to select one mode at time.

I must be missing something. What are these cucumber modes?

Also, is there a way to schedule a camera to constantly record for a designate dduration without using motion?

It's a little confusing and I just found out how to do it myself. When you "add mode" there will be a "rules" tab, press "add rule" and then click the edit button. It's looks like a pencil. In the next tab it will say "if the following". Below that click to the right of the Arlo camera pic and select the camera you want to create a rule for.

Once you create different modes for different cameras you can then create a schedule for the different modes you created based on time of day and day of week. Once you create a schedule, you don't have to individually activate different modes.

"Cucumber modes", lol, auto correct error. It should have been complex modes.

Constant recording without any motion is only possible, to the best of my knowledge, in the main screen that shows the different views for each camera. Hit the "live button" and then click the record icon.
